MICRONEEDLING

PRECAUTIONS & SAFETYMEASURES

THE BENEFITS OFMICRO-NEEDLING

Yes, SkinPen microneedling is considered safe and effective for all skin types, including darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick skin types IV-VI). It is minimally invasive and doesn’t cause damage to the outer layer of the skin, making it suitable for sensitive or acne-prone skin as well.
Microneedling is not typically painful. Most clients describe the sensation as mild discomfort or a tingling feeling. A topical numbing cream is often applied before the procedure to minimize any potential discomfort. The level of sensitivity may vary depending on the individual and the area being treated.
After the procedure, your skin may appear red and feel slightly sensitive, similar to a mild sunburn. There may also be some minor swelling or pinpoint bleeding, which usually subsides within a few hours to a day. It’s normal for your skin to feel tighter and for some peeling or dryness to occur as it heals. Following the aftercare instructions provided by your professional is crucial for optimal results.
It is recommended to avoid wearing makeup for at least 24-48 hours after microneedling to allow your skin to heal and prevent any irritation or infection. Once the skin’s surface begins to recover, you can gradually reintroduce makeup, but always use clean tools and non-comedogenic products to avoid clogging pores.
Microneedling is most effective when done as a series of treatments, typically spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Package includes multiple SkinPen microneedling sessions tailored to your skin's needs. Depending on the package, you may choose PRF or PRP boosters with your treatment. Biojuve can be included as an add-on to your SkinPen microneedling, PRF, or PRP treatments. This enhances the results by boosting skin healing, hydration, and overall rejuvenation
